1. What happens when we make a booking?

After I receive your £250.00 deposit, I will need as many details as possible about your big day ... if we need to obtain permission to photograph inside churches and registry offices or hotels for instance. Not all vicars and registered chapels are as helpful as some ...

2. Will you meet us before the wedding day?

Of course ... a couple of times! I like to photograph you together well before the wedding so that we can bond a little .. get to know each other a little more, and talk weddings! You will love the photographs I produce on location - and you get a A4 photograph in a frame too. After that, you feel a lot more at ease in front of a camera, because you won't be forced into smiling, I will just capture you naturally interacting!

3. When is the best time for the photographer to arrive?

An hour or two before the ceremony to capture the wedding preparations or at the bride's hotel suite or home if particular reportage packages are requested.

4. What about group photographs and formal shots?

If you (or your parents!) want some formal shots then that's not a problem... completed in 10 minutes, informal and fun with lots of smiles AND no lines of guests either! However, my general style is a reportage wedding shoot recording events as they happen rather than stopping and starting proceedings.

5. What are the advantages if we decide to have a second photographer?

Having Louise or Dawn in attendance as well means that all the activities of your wedding are covered without compromise and allows a second angle, which sometimes becomes the favourite picture, to be taken... and being a woman, they will think like a woman .. and be also allowed places where perhaps a male photographer may not .....

6. What format of camera do you use?

I use professional high resolution Canon digital cameras.

7. How many photographs do you take?

400 ... 600 or up to 800 or 1000 .. depends on the length of the day and how things develop. I then edit them down to the best photographs for you to choose for your wedding book / album.

8. What time will you leave?

I stay on location for a minimum of 5 hours, and often a lot longer if the day starts early and finished late

9. Does the photographer(s) require refreshments?

It would be rude not to include me to have a meal if I am with you past the wedding breakfast!

I'm happy to be on the overflow table, put me with the aunt and uncle you didn't want to invite, and your Granny with Tourette's!! I'll entertain them! I would like to be in the room and taking part - it also allows me to photograph some of the nicest parts of your day!

10. Do you work nationwide?

Generally from the Scottish Borders down to Hull, York, Harrogate and across to the Lake District .. but if you want me at your weding I can work anywhere. I produced a wedding in Corfu, and in in France. I've worked in Italy, and in Corfu covering weddings in previous years. The bride and groom even offered the use of a villa for a fortnight in Corfu .. they got a good discount! So I'm happy to consider overseas commissions.

11. How many final photographs do couples have to choose from?

The final edited images are somewhere between 350 - 500 There will be a 'sneek peek' of about 15 images on my BLOG the following Wednesday, about the same number of photos on my Facebook profile the same week and you will receive a presentation box with all the final edited images as proof prints - hard copies which you keep. You choose your book / album images from these

12. How do we get to see the photographs?

Once you are back from your honeymoon, you can pass on the password to see ALL the images from your wedding on a password protected website. They will also be able to order images from the site, sothey're not pestering you after your honeymoon! Result!

13. How long will it take to receive our album?

Usually within 2 weeks of you making your selection, shipped by FedEx from the USA

14. How will we receive our album?

We will either hand-deliver it if local or courier it to you for no extra charge with the mainland U.K.

15. How will friends and family be able to view and order reprints?

Reprints are available through my website. Delivery to home or office within 3 days.

16. Do you keep a record of each wedding?

Yes, we make two copies which are stored at separate locations. Reprints can then be ordered for years to come.
