Stereophonics released the first single - Dakota -on February 28th 2005 to be taken from their new album "Language. Sex. Violence. Other?"
It marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band with the addition of Argentinian drummer, Javier Weyler creating a wonderful new album, sound and attitude.
Hot singer Kelley Jones said: "This band is so positive right now. We've made the most exciting record we possibly could" Dakota is up there with the very best of Stereophonics songs - a happy/sad hookline that grabs you and doesn't let go. It went straight to number one in the UK and introduced the new line-up and their back catalogue to many new fans.
After their club tour of the USA, a rockin' appearence at Live 8 their second single off the album - Superman - was released to universal acclaim as they set out on their UK sell-out tour. I caught up with them at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena. The format was the same as nearly all gigs I have covered over 25 years. Three songs and no flash! Luckily I had also shelled out £32.00 to watch the whole of the concert too - and it was blazin'!!

Most images taken at about 180th second about F2.8 or F4 and between 400 - 800 iso on Canon 10D's and Sigma EX 70-210 F2.8 zoom and Sigma EX 28-70mm F2.8 lenses.
