There are more and more Asian weddings in North East England as the communities grow, and the main problem is getting a venue to accommodate many, many hundreds of people at the same time - and the catering facilities to go with it. Wedding photography is an important part of the day with everyone wanting their photos taken with the bride and groom and lots of photographs taken by many photographers and wedding guests. There are a number of wedding venues that Asian families are using including Wynyard Hall near Hartlepool in County Durham, The Assembly Rooms in Newcastle, Tall Trees Hotel in Yarm in Cleveland which is very popular among Asian communities on Teesside. The Hilton Hotel in Gateshead Newcastle is becoming a more popular venue every year, but don't forget about Slaley Hall in Northumberland which is also available as exclusive use I've covered many Asian weddings in the Sikh community, the Hindu community and Muslim community over the years and they are a joy to behold - totally chaotic, HUGE fun, colourful, the senses filling with unbelievable smells from the magnificent cooking and the smiles on the faces of all those presnt from the very youngest to the oldest guests just shows how much EVERYONE enjoy themselves at an Asian wedding celebration. |
